Editing the System Registry incorrectly can cause serious issues that may require you to reinstall the operating system. We cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of the Registry Editor can be solved. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk.

To use the Silence detects Lawo console or router core the following settings have to be made on the vsmStudio side:

Always make a backup of mapping files before you edit, rename or delete them. Do not edit, rename or delete mapping files if you are not sure that you know what you are doing. Assert that you are editing the correct mapping file and copy the mapping file to all servers that are using the same Lawo connection.

Shutdown vsmStudio or disable the corresponding Lawo connection.

Add or extend a “Silence Detect” section to the Lawo mapping file. Add one <number> = <HLSD> for each silence detect that is going to be enabled. The first entry should begin at 0 (Zero). Save the mapping file after completing all changes.

Open the registry editor and navigate to the Lawo connection.

Enter the GPI offset for the Silence detect as shown above.
