Supported Control APIs

(Feedback from AXIA on the external control options for Pathfinder Core Pro)

The PathfinderCore PRO Probel (SW-P-08) implementation currently supports TCP only so if you need serial, a serial to TCP converter will be needed.  Each Probel instance can be set up as either a tcp listener or a client so you can initiate the connection to us or we can initiate the connection to you depending on how you set it up.  Each instance  is configured to respond to a specific Probel matrix and level and then allows you to assign that instance to a router in PathfinderCore PRO.  Each instance can also be set up to use General Switcher or General Router protocol.  The router it is tied to can be anything PathfinderCore PRO knows how to route including audio, gpio, raw data, or combinations thereof.  You set up the router in Core PRO and then assign the probel interface to that router.  We (AXIA) usually recommend setting up a virtual router specifically for this purpose.

Our (AXIA's) implementation is a subset of the entire Probel protocol so if there are commands you need that are not implemented let us know so we (AXIA) can consider getting them in the queue.  Having said that PathfinderCorePRO's implementation is based on the command set we (AXIA) implemented in the legacy PathfinderPro, and we (AXIA) do have existing customers who are successfully using sw-p-08 between VSM and PathfinderPro.  So we (AXIA) expect it should work.  As far as licensing, the probel interface is included in our (AXIA's) base license.
