The vsmStudio defaults to one common Mapping file for all Nova 73. To change this it is necessary to add a “Mapping Identifier” which requires you to make changes to the registry.

Editing the System Registry incorrectly can cause serious issues that may require you to reinstall the operating system. We cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of the Registry Editor can be solved. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk.

The default mapping file “Lawo-Nova73.ini” is created and maintained in the mapping sub directory under the vsmStudio directory. When a “Mapping Identifier” is specified, the filename of the mapping file changes to “LawoNova73-<Identifier>” where <Identifier> is replaced by the mapping identifier specified.

Example:

It is strongly suggested that a system has more then one Nova 73 a mapping identifier is specified for every Nova 73. The mapping identifier must be unique too each Connection to a Nova 73 which does not share a common configuration. If the system has dual paths to the router e.g. Master and Backup Cards or “Rippers” both connection must have the same mapping identifier!
