The two fader user buttons can perform "channel-related" custom functions such as mix minus control (CORD and CONF), snapshot isolate (SNAP ISO) and talkback (TALK).

Four pages of functions are available, switched from the centre section's FADER USER BUTTON panel. The functions are clearly labelled by the display.

All user buttons are programmed from the Custom Functions display and are stored at a system level. This means that any changes will affect all users.

The image below shows the button numbering (for the first page).

Default Functions

The console ships with the following default functions unless otherwise specified.

  • User button 1 = CONF. Press to activate the mix minus (N-1) output.
  • User button 2 = CORD. Press to change the mix minus (N-1) into a conference (pre-talk) send.
  • User button 3 = TALK. Press to talk to the channel's mix minus (N-1) bus.
  • User button 4 = SNAP ISO. Press to isolate the channel from a snapshot recall.

Editing the Functions

The user buttons are programmed from the Custom Functions display. From here you can edit the button label, color and function.

Useful functions include quick keys for the signal processing (e.g. EQ on/off) and the stereo "spill" function (to access the left and right legs of a stereo channel).

Important: Custom Functions are stored as part of the system configuration and not in productions. This means that any changes will affect all users.
