There are several chapters explaining the functionality of the panel list and the panel editor. The content described in there is most probably affected by a fundamental enhancement to the panel editing process, which was introduced in MAR 2020 with VSM Release 2020-1, called Panel Inheritance. This enhancement affects the visual appearance, the menu commands and the general functionality of the entire panel list and panel editor. Over time, changes will be applied to the complete manual, but for the time being, older content within this part of the manual remains.
