Productions form the top level for user data storage and store all the settings required for a production or type of job.

It is good practice to have at least one default production which can be used as a common starting point. You should load this production to reset the console, and then save a new production to store your own settings. If your system does not yet have a default production, you will need to build one (as described later in this chapter).

To load an existing production:

1.    Open the Production List display, on the Central GUI, using one of the following methods.
  • Press the PROD / FILE button on the SCREEN CONTROL panel.
  • Select Production → Production List from the GUI page menu.
  • Press CTRL + 8 on the console keyboard.

The upper half of the display shows all the productions stored on the internal user data flash card. This is where you can load, save, update, rename, protect or delete a production.

The active production (marked with an A) is always shown in the title bar of the Central GUI – in our example, it is named Show 1.

2.   Select a production and touch the on-screen Load button. Or, right-click on a production and select Load.

The console settings update and the title bar shows the name of the loaded production in the Active Production field.

For additional confirmation, watch the status bar at the bottom of the Central GUI - a blue progress bar appears as the production data loads.
