This topic describes how to connect the control surface to a Virtual Mixer in the A__UHD Core. 1. Open the "Devices" page and click the console label (e.g. mc2-56-mk3 Console). A page opens showing general information about the device. 2. At the top (under A__UHD Core Processing), you will see the current status of the connection. In the example below, there is no processing connection configured to the control surface.
3. Select the Connect Virtual Mixer button to open a pop-up where you can select a DSP Core. Note that the number of options listed here depends on the low-level configuration of the A__UHD Core. In our example, there are two Virtual Mixer slices.
4. Choose the Virtual Mixer you wish to use, and select Next to continue. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm. You must type in a specific text string so as to avoid making a connection (or disconnection) by accident.
6. Once the connection is confirmed, the system updates. The active status of the A__UHD Core Virtual Mixer is shown in two places on the Central GUI:
In the status bar, the A__UHD Core icon updates.
In the Signal List display, the internal DSP signals change from a "not available" to "available" state.
